The National Federation of American Students is a national chapter-based organization. It relies on its chapters across the nation to promote its centralized goals. To create a powerful organization and political lobby, NFAS must have a diverse membership, consisting of many chapters across the country. Once you establish a chapter, you may place greater emphasis on issues affecting your school, in addition to the Federation’s primary goals. We appreciate your interest in forming a chapter at your school. Please proceed to read the following to see if you and your school are eligible. Even if you are not eligible to create a chapter, we still invite you to join NFAS.
- You must be at least 13 years of age to start a chapter at your school.
- Your school must be a high school.
- Your school must be located within the United States of America.
If you and your school meet the above requirements, you may proceed with the registration process. A final determination about your eligibility will be made by NFAS. Please keep in mind: Chapters of the National Federation of American Students are not intended to be school clubs. Please do not apply for club or activity status in your school.
